Dr Jamie Whyte is Director of Research at the IEA. In 2014 he was leader of the ACT Party of New Zealand, a position he resigned upon failing to be elected to parliament in the September general election. Jamie has previously worked as a management consultant and as a philosophy lecturer at the University of Cambridge. He is the author of Quack Policy (2013), Free Thoughts (2012), A Load of Blair (2005) and Crimes Against Logic (2004). He won the Bastiat Prize for Journalism in 2006 and was runner up in 2010 and 2016.
